Soooooo sorry for the lack of posts! It's been a pretty crazy couple of weeks, but fun none the less! Eli is crawling! Well...sort of. It's more of a draaaag plop! He has a lot of upper body strength and hasn't quite figured out that he can use his legs to move, so it's pretty funny as he
moves his arms in front of himself then propells himself forward. He amazes me at how fast he can move around just by moving his arms! He has started to get his knees under him, but hasn't quite gotten his balance mastered in order to do a "real" crawl--but boy is he mobile! He is getting more and more wiggly as he now knows that he can move and therefore never wants to sit still. He has been curious from the moment he was born and now he has a means to go exploring! It is so fun to see him grow, I can't believe he is already six months! He also is continuing to be very vocal, "baaaaabaaaaabaaaaa" is his favorite. Sometimes we hear "daaaaaaaadaaaaaaadaaaaaa" and lots and lots of spitting and rasberries. :) I had to clip this video as it was a lot of me "encouraging" him with my camera. I feel bad baiting him with electronics only to take them away, but hey what can I say, he's my child and he LOVES gadgets, lol...
Here he is doing his "plank" try it yourself, it's tough! I do that during personal training to strengthen my abs! He's a rockstar!
My laundry helper
As Eli is becoming more mobile, he is also discovering that he can "want" things. So the other day as I was doing laundry, he maneuvered over to my laundry basket and started going "ehhh ehhh" apparently he wanted to get in it, so I put him in it and continued on with the laundry, he had fun!
GRAMMIE AND GRANDPA VISIT!!!!!
I was really looking forward to my family coming to visit for the weekend. They came out Friday night and left Tuesday morning. It was a really fast trip but so much fun. We went on a hike on Saturday morning, but I don't know where the pics are, I think I took them with my mom's camera, so I'll have to post them later.
My dad bought me a back massager since my siatic is still killing me. Here he is working on Eli...
The Desert Botanical Gardens
This was SO cool! Right now there is a Chuily glass exhibit all over the gardens and it is absolutely amazing!!! I have an annual pass and I can take 1 person with me for free, so if anyone wants to come out here... I'll take ya! :)
Oohhh neat bracelets Auntie Sammy
I started having fun with my macro setting on my camera. My dad and I kept comparing pics, it really made it fun. I took about 8,564 pictures (ok not really, but it seems like it!) so I am going to put together a collage video and post it at a later time. These are the highlights...
I love the texture contrast in this photo
Eli was having fun, as always
We went at 5pm, so the lighting was absolutely perfect
Eli wanted to grab EVERYTHING. We had to be careful as a lot of plants were super sharp!
This is my favorit picture. The boat thingy was sooo cool! I want one in my backyard. Haha, maybe next time I have an extra million or two
Eli conked out around 7, I think the sun and the excitement took a toll on him. Daddy was so good to carry him around, we finally put him in the stroller...
The glass was even cooler at dusk and then even cooler at dark because they were all lit up
WOW
Very cool, I can't wait to go again!
The DiamondBacks Home Opener Vs. The Colorado Rockies
For my birthday, we went to the D-backs home opener. They were playing the Rockies, so it made it even more fun. It was Eli's first sporting event and Grandpa decked him out in a D-backs outfit complete with a "Lil' All Star" Dbacks hat. He was so cute in it!! He loved going to the game because it had two of his favorite things: lights and people. There was so much to look at! He HATED it when the Dbacks hit a home run (hmmm... maybe he's a Rockies fan?) because the fans would cheer and there was really loud music and it would scare him, especially because it was a sudden noise, he doesn't like that. We had a blast!
My lil slugger!
Watching the game VERY closely!
He loves his Grammie!
The game was right in the middle of nap time. I thought he'd never go to sleep with all the excitement around, but he did for about 30 minutes, oh well, better than nothing!
Oooooohhh Rockies fans gone red... :) :)
Samm was a bi polar fan, or maybe she was having an identiy crisis, she rooted for both teams. Ahhhh but the D-back prevailed and won 9-8. It was a great game!
We're going to go to a lot of games this summer, it's so fun!
After the game, we went to dinner...
Mr. Cool (with a binkie in his mouth :) )
Oh what a cute boy!
Hangin' with Grandpa Mark
Eli wanted to check out Samm's new hat
We didn't want them to leave :(
We're sad they are gone, but looking forward to the rest of our April company!!!
