My Baby Is 1!!!

Eli turned one on Friday!! We're in Utah right now; my brother got married yesterday so I'm a little behind on my post, but here is my "birthday" post dedicated to my sweet baby boy...

My Dad has a sweet camera, so I love coming here and playing around with it (hopefully one day, I'll be lucky enough to purchase one). Then of course I add some photoshopping for more "wow"! Props to my lil sis for snapping the top pic of Eli laden with Chocolate lips.
Eli was so excited for his birthday that he woke up at 6am ready to go! I on the other hand was not so thrilled to wake up so early...but I made the best of it and started icing his cakes. Then we moved on to pancakes for breakfast complete with Eli's birthday hat!
My Utah man!! It was HILARIOUS, my parents got Eli a UofU sweat suit (my alma mater) and Boyd's parents got him a BYU onesie (their Alma Mater), he had on both!

Eli was so lucky to have his cousin at his party! Here she is after giving an impromptu concert following his party. Showing Eli the ways of a true musician!
Grandma and Grandpa Perkins were in town and got to come to the party! They are responsible for this shirt... ;)
Auntie Samm playing the piano with Eli and of course Eli's buddy, Duff the Dog.
Singing happy birthday to the birthday boy! Eli wasn't quite sure what was going on.
Eli was very cautious with his cake taking small little tastes.
Until we all got a little impatient and I cut into the cake for him.

Although it may look like Eli ate most of this cake, he didn't. I apparently made the "wrong" kind of cake for the "big people" and everyone ended up digging into Eli's cake! His was yummier than ours! Haha.
YUM!
Mom!! Don't take my cake away! That was yummy!!!That boy needs a bath! We stuck him in the sink for a quick rinse afterwards.
Presents!
Grandpa got Eli this cool ATV! He loves it!
Getting "the other" shirt ;)
Eli's Cakes...here are some cool closeup shots of Eli's cakes that I made, I love unleashing my creative monster!
Thanks Samm for making these goal posts (and for stopping me from going overboard by hand painting them yellow...sometimes you just have to draw the line)

This cake was chocolate with cream cheese frosting, for the "big people"
This was Eli's special cake! His was yellow cake with cream cheese frosting. It was so yummy that the adults helped him finish it!

Eli had so much fun on his birthday! He had a really hard time going to bed that night.
One year ago...

I can't believe this year went by so fast!! It was a good one! I love you Eli!!!
Love, Mommy

My friend's baby just turned one and I was telling her that this next year between 1 & 2 is my FAVORITE age for babies! Eli will be learning all sorts of new tricks and his personality will really start to come out. By 18 months he'll be talking and making you guys laugh and smile all the time. Enjoy every second of it, because it will go by so fast and then he'll hit the terrible two's :)
